Rudakij (District)

Rudakij ( Tajik Рӯдакӣ ) is a district in Tajikistan . The district is directly subordinate to the central government and belongs to the "districts subordinate to the republic ". The main town of the district is the settlement Somonijon ( Tajik Сомониён ). The district, called Lenin from 1970 to 2003 , was given its current name in honor of the national poet Rudaki .
