A rowing bike is a bicycle in which to propel one of the rowing -like motion must be completed.

Rowing bikes are mainly used for full-body training, rarely for everyday locomotion. In addition to the leg muscles, the trunk and arm muscles are primarily used during locomotion. So far, however, no uniform construction method has prevailed among the manufacturers of rowing wheels.

The Dutch company Thys primarily offers a two-wheeled rowing bike with a reclining seat that is powered by a lever function . The German competitor Row-K , on the other hand, sells a three-wheeled rowing wheel that can be moved thanks to a pantograph . The German manufacturer DETT has again focused on a hybrid version with pedals that can be used at the same time .

In 2016, the Regensburg mechanical engineer Michael Schmidtler developed a three-wheeled rowing bike based on a rowing ergometer with a drive chain, roller seat and body steering. It is somewhat similar to the Landskiff , which was registered for a patent in 1926 by the Munich inventor Manfred Curry.
