Rudibert Schneider

Rudibert Schneider (born September 28, 1914 in Bankwitz / Silesia ; † January 7, 1978 in Rinteln ) was a German politician and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After finishing school and completing vocational training, Rudibert Schneider took part in the Second World War as a professional soldier . He suffered severe wounds and returned home disabled by the war. After the end of the war, he was expelled from Breslau in 1946 and found a new home in the Grafschaft Schaumburg district . From the end of 1946 onwards, he volunteered to look after displaced persons during the Second World War. He became the managing state chairman of the GB / BHE in Lower Saxony and worked in local politics from 1948. From May 6, 1955 to May 5, 1963, he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament (3rd and 4th electoral terms), and was deputy from May 6, 1955 to September 27, 1957 and October 6, 1958 to May 5, 1963 Chair of the GB / BHE parliamentary group. After the merger of GB / BHE and DP to form GDP in 1961, he worked from 1961 as their state board member. From January 17, 1962 to May 5, 1963 he was also Vice President of the Lower Saxony State Parliament. From October 7, 1955 to May 5, 1963, he chaired the Committee on Affairs for Displaced Persons, Refugees and War Damaged Persons.

From 1976 to 1978, as the successor to the late Hermann Ahrens, he was federal chairman of the All-German Party (GDP), when it had already lost its importance a few years ago.

He was married and had one child.
