Rudolf von Dressel (Old High German: Rule de Drysule; * circa 1270) was a Saxon knight.

He came from the noble family von Beenhausen . Like many knights before him, Rudolf von Dressel emigrated from Thuringia to Saxony in the late 13th century. In a document from 1319 he is referenced as "dictus de Drysiule", which means "which is now called by Dreiseil". He received the hereditary three-rope from the Duke of Saxony. His descendants took the family name "von Dressel" based on the phonetic pronunciation of the name Dreiseil at the time. Rudolf von Dressel or Rule de Drysule (Dresul, Drisule, Dreiseil) is the progenitor of the Dressel branch of the von Beenhausen family.
