The Rugby Club Luzern (RCL) is the Lucerne club in rugby union in Switzerland . It was founded in 1979.

With around 40 active players between the ages of 17 and over 40, the men's team plays in the National League C. In the 2009/2010 championship, the team made it to the semi-finals of the playoffs . With two players in the national team and many young hopefuls, Lucerne is also well represented nationally.

The women's team Dangels, founded in 1994, is one of the largest women's teams in Switzerland with 25 active players. Lucerne has held the double Swiss championship title ( 7 and 15 rugby ) since 2009 . Because of these successes and the growing interest, the Dangels have since benefited from a high media presence. In addition, the Dangels made up half of the national team with five players at the 7's Rugby European Championship 2010.
