The Persian-language magazine Rūḥ al-Qudus ( Persian روح القدس, DMG Rūḥ al-Qudus , 'The Holy Spirit') appeared fortnightly in 1907 and 1908 in Tehran in a total of 29 issues. The editor was Sultan al-'Ulama Khorasani (1839-1911), a Shiite religious scholar and political activist who was known for his support for the Constitutional Revolution in Iran (1905-1911) and his criticism of the government of Mohammed Ali Shahs .

With the founding of this revolutionary opposition magazine, the aim was to publish opinions on prevailing political and social conditions and to openly criticize the grievances. Due to their not necessarily simple language, it is assumed that a readership that is more politically educated and located in the opposition spectrum should be reached.

Together with the magazines Musavat and Sur-e Esrafil , Ruh al-Qudus contributed significantly to the support of the Constitutional Revolution through its revolutionary and aggressive orientation. After Mohammed Ali Shah's accession to the throne and counter-revolution in June 1908, the magazine, like many other Iranian press organs, was finally banned.
