The Runestone Tu (N 228) comes from the small village of Tu at Bryne in Sola , west of Stavanger in the Fylke Rogaland in Norway . The original location of the rune stone from amphibolite is unknown. In 1835 it was delivered to the museum in Bergen , but is not on display in the museum.

The rune stone , divided into five parts, was reconstructed. The stone is about 2.15 meters high, 40 cm wide and 17 cm thick. The inscription in younger Futhark was dated to AD 900–1000. It is located on one of the narrow sides of the stone. The surface shows the stylized images of a man and a woman, one on top of the other. In the same area, a number of guldgubbe (plural guldgubbar), thin gold plates showing men and women, were found, however, side by side and not as on the stone.

The runic inscription reads: "Helge built this stone in memory of Ketil, his brother."
