The Rytmisk Music Conservatory (German: Rhythmisches Musikkonservatorium ) is a modern music college in Copenhagen , Denmark , and is subordinate to the Ministry of Culture . It offers education at the highest level in contemporary music and other forms of music, from jazz to rock and pop to the latest musical expressions such as hip-hop and electronic music.
The previous facility, founded in Frederiksberg in 1986 , moved to the site of the former Holmen naval base in Copenhagen in 1996 , where the Rytmisk Music Conservatory under the founding Rector Erik Moseholm, together with the State Theater School, Den Danske Filmskole (Danish Film School) and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts , set up a new facility .
In 2005, the British musician and composer Django Bates was appointed professor of rhythmic music at the Conservatory of Music.
