Sándor Balassa

Sándor Balassa (born January 20, 1935 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian composer and teacher.

biography

Sándor Balassa attended a musical school and then studied music in Budapest. In 1964 he started working on the Hungarian radio, where he designed music programs. Since 1981 he has also taught at the music college. He retired from this position in 1996.

Balassa was awarded the Kossuth Prize in 1983 .
