Sawtooth profile

Schematic representation of the sawtooth profile

The sawtooth profile is a form of cross slope of roads with two separate directional lanes , such as highways and expressways. It consists of two desk profiles arranged parallel to each other , which are inclined in the same direction. This has the disadvantage that one of the two lanes in the median has to drain. Advantages are the reduced dazzling effect of the oncoming traffic and the lower soil mass movement when building the road.
