Desk profile

Schematic representation of the desk profile

The desk profile represents a form of transverse slope in road and path construction. In this profile form, the transverse slope falls on one side from one edge of the road to the other, which is why it is also called a one-sided slope . It is usually used when building new roads outside of built -up areas, as it enables smooth driving at high speed and overtaking maneuvers can be carried out safely. In contrast to the roof and grader profile, the desk profile only requires a drainage device on one side . In this context, however, the problem is the long path that surface water takes to reach the edge of the road.
