Sölvesborgs GIF , partly also written Sölvesborgs GoIF , is a Swedish football club from Sölvesborg . The men's team played three seasons in Sweden's second-highest division .
history
Sölvesborgs GIF was founded in October 1915. For a long time the team played in the lower league area. After advancing to the third division in 1965, the team managed as a newcomer to march through to the second division. In the second year of league membership, she achieved the best result in the club's history as the sixth of her season in 1968. The trainer of this era was the former Austrian wonder team player Adolf Vogl . In the following year, the club was bottom of the table behind IK Atleten and Blomstermåla IK one of the three relegation places.
