history

Initially starting in the lower class, the team from Blomstermåla IK, founded in 1928, was promoted to the third division in 1940, followed by the march through to the second division in 1944. As table sixth placed in the middle of the league in the first year, the club rose in the following year after only one win of the season as bottom of the table together with Limhamns IF . Also in the 1946/47 season in the back of the table, the team was victim of a league reform and passed straight through to fourth division.

Again for a long time in the lower league area, Blomstermåla IK returned to the third division at the end of the 1965 season, in which the team scored 99 goals in 22 games and dominated their fourth division season with 18 wins from 22 games. Here she sat down straight away in the front of the table and rose again in 1968 as a season winner before Emmaboda IS in the second division. The flying visit lasted only one season, alongside IK Atleten and Sölvesborg's GoIF , the club was relegated at the end of the season. However, relegation was followed by direct promotion and this time the club was initially in the league. Playing against relegation, he occupied places in the back of the table. In 1973, four points were missing from the last non-relegation place occupied by IK Sleipner to stay in the league, but the relegated won his season and prevailed in the promotion round as first in the table. With four wins this season, the club was nine points behind the saving bank in the 1975 season and said goodbye to Västra Frölunda IF and Skövde AIK from the second division.

Blomstermåla IK stayed in the third division for only two years after relegation and then established himself in the middle of the table in his fourth division. In 1986 the club was downgraded to fifth division as part of a league reform. Thus the club said goodbye to higher-class football, only in 1993 did the team play for one season in the fourth division.
