The sculpture “Søster og bror” was given to Ålesund in 1961 by Sparebank

Søster og bror ( German  sister and brother ) is a sculpture in the Norwegian city ​​of Ålesund .

It stands on the west side of St. Olavs plass in the center of Ålesund on the island of Nørvøy .

The bronze sculpture shows a pair of siblings, with a bigger sister carefully standing behind her much smaller brother. The sister is holding a bouquet of flowers in her right hand. Her left hand lightly touches the little boy's left arm. There is a little toy horse behind the brother. The sculpture was placed on a stone pedestal with the Norwegian inscription SØSTER OG BROR on its front .

The sculpture was created by Odd Hilt . It was a gift from Ålesund Sparebank in 1961 to the city of Ålesund.
