Süddeutscher Musikverlag

Süddeutscher Musikverlag is a German music publisher, founded in 1939 by Willy Müller (1900–1985) in Heidelberg. In 1988 it was taken over by Bärenreiter-Verlag .

So far, more than 2,800 sheet music editions of all musical genres have been published by Süddeutscher Musikverlag. About two thirds of the works are from the 20th century. One focus was on church music. The composers Joseph Ahrens , Cesar Bresgen , Herbert Collum , Kurt Hessenberg , Hans-Friedrich Micheelsen and Günter Raphael published their works at Süddeutscher Musikverlag .

Another South German music publisher was in Strasbourg i / E at the beginning of the 20th century . active.
