Südpark (Wattenscheid)

The Südpark is a green corridor in Höntrop , Bochum, north of the Zeppelindamm. To the northeast of the site was the United Maria Anna Steinbank colliery .

The park has the Höntrop forest stage, an animal enclosure and the Höntrop outdoor and indoor swimming pool, which is threatened with closure. Three ponds south of the swimming pool were renatured into a stream in 2015; the measure cost 530,000 euros.
