Early study move

Sühudi in Einsiedeln

The early study procession is a custom of the Einsiedeln carnival . This move, which on the morning of Güdelmontags ( Rosenmontag takes place) is totally unorganized. Participation is often spontaneous. Participants are practically only hermits. Anyone who has a good subject disguises himself appropriately as Sühudi .

The Sühudiumzug is led by the Einsiedeln Tüüfel followed by a Trichler group . Behind it follows the river from Sühudis. Each has its own theme, which it satirizes. For around an hour, the train moves up and down the village without any order. Then the participants disappear into the restaurants, where things continue to be colorful. The biggest day of the Einsiedeln Carnival has opened and goes almost seamlessly into the large carnival parade in the afternoon, which is then no longer characterized by Sühudis, but by motto floats.

The Sühudi running is open to everyone. The Sühudi parade is not organized by any association. Despite or because of the lack of organization, this figure is very popular.
