S-160JA-1 missile.

S-160 is the name of a Japanese sounding rocket . The S-160 had a summit height of 80 kilometers and a take-off mass of 100 kg. The diameter of the single-stage rocket was 0.16 meters, the length 4 meters. The S-160 was manufactured by Nissan between 1964 and 1972 and started a total of 23 times. The rocket launched in the Uchinoura Space Center was powered by a solid-fuel motor .
