SA honor strip

The old fighter's medals of honor in the SA (short: SA medals of honor ) were a National Socialist award that was donated by Adolf Hitler in September 1934 for so-called “ old fighters ”.

Between February and December 1934, Hitler led for all members of the NSDAP , which the Party and its formations before the takeover had joined the Honor Chevron for the Old Guard one as a special award.

While the angles in the other National Socialist organizations were retained, the honor system for the Sturmabteilung (SA) was changed in September of the same year . Instead, strips of silver-gray aluminum embroidery were introduced, which were worn on the cuffs of the uniform jackets on both sides. From the number and width of these stripes, party membership could be read off.
