The Skandinavisk Aero Industri KZ VII Lærke (Lark) was a Danish high wing - liaison aircraft with first flight in October 1946th
history
The aircraft was a further development of the type KZ-III , a two-seater ambulance aircraft that had been developed under German occupation , whereby one of the two aircraft, which had been built during the war, had been smuggled to Sweden for flight tests. After the liberation of Denmark, 60 such two-seaters were built.
The type KZ-VII , equipped with a more powerful engine, were four-seater. The usual engine was a Continental C-125 with 125 hp. Seven of the 55 machines built flew with Continental C-145-2 engines and Aeromatic Constant-Speed propellers in Switzerland.
Twelve KZ-X planes went to the Danish Air Force as aerial observation planes . However, these aircraft had a problem - and corresponding accidents - with the horizontal stabilizer and after their first flight on September 29, 1951, they were all decommissioned before 1955.
At least one of the aircraft still flew in 2014.
