SAR (Mesopotamia)
The Babylonian - Sumerian term SAR denoted the value 3600 or one of the next higher arithmetic units in the sexagesimal system . In the Sumerian King List , the years of reign were given in SAR and NER , with six NER corresponding to one SAR. The values SAR and NER are mentioned, for example, as measures of length (1 SAR = 3600 cubits ) during the construction of the city wall of Dur Šarrukin , which Sargon II had built, with a SAR converted to an average value of around 1866 meters.
