Science Fiction & Fantasy Translation Award
The Science Fiction & Fantasy Translation Award (also SF&F Translation Award , SFF Translation Award and SF&FT Award ) is an American translation award that was awarded from 2011 to 2013 by the Association for the Recognition of Excellence in SF&F Translation (ARESFFT) for outstanding translations into English from the field of science fiction was awarded.
It was regularly awarded in two categories, namely "long form" (40,000 words and more) and "short form". The special prize for particularly meritorious work as a translator was given only once in 2011 to Brian Stableford . The award consisted of a trophy and a cash prize. The prize money was divided equally between the translator and the author.
In October 2014, ARESFFT announced that the award ceremonies would have to be discontinued due to a lack of human resources.
