Chen Qiufan
Chen Qiufan (born November 30, 1981 in Shantou , Guandong Province , People's Republic of China ), also known as Stanley Chan , is a Chinese science fiction writer , columnist and screenwriter .
biography
Born in Shantou , Guangdong in 1981 , Chen studied at Beijing University , where he received a bachelor's degree in both literature and art history . He later worked for Baidu and Google China.
Since 1997, Chen has published numerous short stories. His novel Die Silicinsel was published in Chinese in 2013 and in German in 2019.
For his short stories, Chen won several "Galaxy Awards for Chinese Science Fiction" and "Nebula Awards for Science Fiction and Fantasy in Chinese", among other awards. His works have been translated into several languages including English, French, German, Finnish, Korean, Czech, Italian and Japanese.
