SGU (set of rules)

SGU stands for (occupational) safety , health and environmental protection and is a term from the SCC regulations .

A distinction is made between "operational employees" (SCC 016 or SCC 018 e.g. fitters) and "operational managers" (SCC 017 e.g. senior fitters, project managers, etc.).

Instructions must take place in the following areas , which must be confirmed by an examination at regular intervals (currently every 10 years). The result of the test and all instructions must be entered in a safety pass that must be kept with you at all times on construction sites.

The following topics apply to operational employees:

  • B Causes of the accident and what to do in the event of an accident
  • C Handling of hazardous substances
  • D Risk of fire and explosion
  • E Work permit procedures and work in confined spaces
  • F Use of machine tools, hand tools, construction machinery and devices, welding and electrical devices and other work equipment
  • G Conveying and lifting technology, traffic routes
  • H Working on high and low-lying workplaces
  • I personal protective equipment

  • A Health and safety legislation and European directives
  • B causes of accidents and consequences for safety policy
  • C Methods of promoting occupational safety
  • D work procedures and work permits
  • E risk assessment
  • F Fire and disaster control, emergency planning and first aid

    • G1 ... exposure to noise
    • G2 ... work on electrical systems and with electrical equipment
    • G3 ... radiation exposure
    • G4 ... high and low-lying workplaces, traffic routes and ladders
  • H Activities with hazardous substances and handling of waste as well as water regulations
  • I Ergonomics in the workplace, alcohol and drug problems in the workplace

The SCC regulations stipulate that the certified company must have nominated an SGU coordinator who is a trained specialist in occupational safety .
