The association was founded in 1920. Because of its geographical location, the soccer team is assigned to the Upper Franconia district. She rose to the district league twice in the 1970s.
The greatest sporting success in 1978 was qualifying for the DFB Cup . In the first main round they lost 1: 3 to the then second division club Eintracht Trier .
