The FC Ederbergland is a football club of the Hessian city of Battenberg (Eder) and the neighboring municipality of Allendorf (Eder) .

history

The club was created in the spring of 1997 from the merger of the football departments of TSV Battenberg (relegated from the Oberliga Hessen ) and SV 1924 Allendorf (state division). In the first year of its existence, the club won the championship of the state league and was promoted to the Oberliga Hessen, the fourth highest division in the German league system at the time , in which it was able to stay for three years. After relegation, FC Ederbergland played for a few years in the Association League Hessen , through which he was able to reach the finals of the Hessen Cup in the 2011/12 season , where he was finally defeated by Kickers Offenbach . In the 2012/13 season, FC Ederbergland was runner-up in the Association League Hessen-Mitte. As the winner of the following relegation round, the club achieved promotion to the Hessen League. After two seasons in the Hessenliga, the club was relegated to the association league again in 2015. In the 2015/16 season under coach Vladimir Kovacevic, after a second place in the final table, he was once again promoted to the Hessen League in the relegation round. In 2019, FC Ederbergland rose again.

FC Ederbergland plays its home games alternately in Battenberg (Entenpark Stadium) and Allendorf (Beetwiese Stadium). Shirt sponsor of the club are the Viessmann Werke .
