The SG Vorhalle (officially: Sportgemeinschaft Vorhalle 09 eV ) is a sports club from the Vorhalle district of Hagen . The first soccer team took part in the DFB Cup once.

history

The association was founded in 1909. Originally a fistball club was supposed to be founded before the club founders were changed by "Sportfreunde von Langerfeld ". In terms of sport, the Vorhaller only played on a local level and did not get beyond the district class, acquired the reputation of being a cup fright in the 1960s. In 1962 and 1967, the Vorhallers were able to record cup victories over the league club Hasper SV and SSV Hagen . The club achieved its greatest success in 1979 when the team qualified for the DFB Cup. There the Vorhaller had to compete in the first round at Westfalia Herne and lost 4-0. Between 1976 and 1981 the team played in the district league. Since relegation in 2015, the SG Vorhalle has been playing in the district league B.
