The SHK shopping and Vertriebs AG (short: SHK AG) is a cooperative-oriented cooperation independent professional craft of plumbing, heating and air conditioning industry in Germany, Austria and Luxembourg. The purchasing cooperative organizes over 920 businesses with a total external turnover of around 1.5 billion euros.
The cooperation provides its members with comprehensive support services and promotes the exchange of experience and knowledge between the craft entrepreneurs and their teams.
The sole shareholder is SHK Verwaltungs AG & Co. KG, in which only the craft businesses are involved as limited partners or silent partners . SHK AG is also the central organization for the matrix certification of management processes in craft businesses according to the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001: 2008.
The cooperation services aim to ensure the profitability and competitiveness of the member companies. These include: central settlement , purchasing, sales and marketing advice, further training, experience groups, online portals, organization handbook, business support, architectural services, advertising and sales promotion, own cooperation brands .
history
In spring 1988, 46 self-determined craft entrepreneurs founded the SHK cooperation together with initiator Elfi Fuchs in Baden-Württemberg. The cooperative orientation of the group was important to them.
The initial aim was to organize the common procurement of goods. An information network was created for the exchange of purchasing and technical issues. From the very beginning, the cooperation practiced centrally regulated purchasing with del credere takeover . A classic purchasing community developed , which was run in the form of a GmbH with silent partnerships. Over the years, SHK has also installed services in the areas of marketing, seminars and IT for its members.
Since 2007, led by Holger Kachel, the cooperation has transformed into an information and brand association. Members and suppliers who take part in the system brands of the cooperation commit themselves to a higher degree of commitment (range, marketing, qualification).
On August 31, 2016, Holger Kachel resigned from the Board of Management, while Harald Belzer became the sole director for a transitional period. In the context of this change in management, there was turbulence in the association, the employees elected a works council for the first time, and as a result, several founding shareholders left. On January 1, 2018, Sven Mischel joined SHK AG as a further board member alongside Belzer. Mischel previously headed the Mein Bad (Leonberg) purchasing community.

As shareholders, the cooperating craft entrepreneurs of SHK AG benefit directly from the bonuses on sales made with supplier partners, from the interest on their capital share and from the group's profit. Your elected representatives on the advisory board and the supervisory board contribute to the business policy of the cooperation. The group's own central settlement gives the members a special credit rating, ensures their independence and the independence of the group as such.
