The SIG Gemeinnützige Stiftung is a non-profit foundation in Neuhausen am Rheinfall . Michel Rubli has been the Foundation's managing director since July 2012. The foundation was established by SIG Holding and entered in the commercial register for the first time on December 23, 1966. In October 2011, the SIG Charitable Foundation took over the industrial site in Neuhausen as part of a long-term commitment from the SIG (Swiss Industrial Association). The aim of the foundation is to convert the former industrial site directly at the Neuhausen Rhine Falls into a friendly, open quarter for work, living, education and leisure. SIG factories have been located on the industrial site for over 100 years. After rail vehicle construction was discontinued in 2005, parts of the industrial facilities lay fallow. The foundation's once hermetically sealed area has been freely accessible since 2017. The foundation also succeeded in renting parts of the industrial buildings to production companies and other businesses, such as a fitness studio. In 2018 the “Green Tree” project was opened. The foundation's properties are managed by Reasco AG.
