SIMPACK is a multi-body simulation software with which, in the automotive sector , in the aviation and space sector in, rail traffic engineering sector or in the machine tool sector are performed simulations.

The development of SIMPACK began in the late 1980s at the German Aerospace Center , because at that time there was no non-linear multi-body simulation software on the market that could also calculate flexible bodies. During this time MAN AG was involved in the development.

The INTEC company was founded as a spin-off in 1993 in order to exploit SIMPACK commercially .

In September 2009 the company INTEC GmbH was completely merged into the new company SIMPACK AG as their legal successor.
