The information and analysis center "SOWA" (Russian Информационно-аналитический центр "Сова", English SOVA Center ) is a non-governmental organization in Russia . His research and publication topics are racism , nationalism and human rights in Russia .

The association reports on political nationalism on the part of Russian authorities in order to counteract extremism.

history

The SOWA center was founded in 2002 from the information and research center "Panorama" with the support of the Moscow Helsinki Group. Alexander Markowitsch Verkhovsky has been the chairman since then.
