The SV 09 Eitorf (officially: Sportverein 09 Eitorf eV ) is a sports club from Eitorf in the North Rhine-Westphalian Rhein-Sieg district . The first soccer team played for two years in the highest amateur league in the Middle Rhine region.

history

After the end of World War II , the Eitorfer qualified in 1946 for the then first-class Rheinbezirksliga , from which they promptly relegated. In 1949, the club went down to the district class, where it was able to gain direct promotion. After a runner-up in 1953 behind TuRa Hennef , he was promoted to the state league a year later , the highest amateur league on the Middle Rhine at the time. After only one year, he was relegated to the district class again. After another runner-up in 1957 behind TSV Ründeroth , the state league was promoted again a year later. This time they managed to stay up in the promotion season, before relegation to the district class followed in 1960. The low point of the season was a 3:11 defeat at SV Wesseling . In the following decades the team commuted between the district and district league. Since relegation in 2015, the Eitorfer have been competing in the district league A.
