The SV Energie Berlin e. V. (Department rowing) is a 1913 under the original name Rowing Association from 1887 in Berlin's Koepenick established rowing club .
history
In April 1913 the rowing clubs Albatros and Spreestern merged to form the rowing club of 1887 . In February 1914, the rowing association of 1887 bought the water property at Gutenbergstrasse 4-5, on which a club house with a boat hall, changing rooms and ballroom was inaugurated on July 4, 1915.
In October 1953, the rowing section of the “Progress” sports association moved into the boathouse at Gutenbergstrasse 4-5. Then the name of the rowing club changed several times, depending on the respective sponsoring company : 1962 rowing section of the BSG "Lok Oberspree" , 1969 BSG "Unit Center" and 1976 rowing section of the BSG "Energie Berlin" . In 1990 the name was changed to SV Energie Berlin .
