Saber

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Saber ( Spanish / Portuguese : knowledge) is a planned sectoral currency for Brazil, which is to be issued by the Ministry of Culture . The currency is covered by educational and training services and is given out to students who can use it to purchase lessons from older students.

The currency is passed from lower grades to higher grades in schools until it reaches a university where the currency is used to purchase education from the state. At that point it will be returned to the Ministry.

The period of validity of these education vouchers is limited in order to ensure that the currency is passed on regularly and continuously.

In addition, such educational currencies in poor countries make it easy to finance many educational efforts.
