Sabine Mandak

Sabine Mandak (born September 10, 1956 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian politician ( Greens ) and former member of the Austrian National Council and family, youth and senior spokeswoman for the Greens.

Life

Sabine Mandak studied English and journalism at the University of Salzburg from 1974 to 1980 and attended the university course for tourism at the University of Salzburg in 1976 and 1977, and from 1980 to 1992 she studied education and social sciences at the University of Hagen . From 1992 to 1999 she was a pedagogical employee at the Katholisches Bildungswerk Vorarlberg. Sabine Mandak has two daughters, lives in Graz today, is married to DI Hans Peter Aufinger and is now called Sabine Mandak-Aufinger.

Political career

From 1989 to 2008 Sabine Mandak was a member of the green community organization of Feldkirch in Vorarlberg , Die Grünen - Feldkirch is in bloom. Since 1990 she was the city representative in Feldkirch and from 1995 to 2002 a member of the Feldkirch city government. As a city councilor, she was responsible for the environment and waste management.

At the same time, she was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament from 1999 to 2002 . From 1999 to 2008 she was a member of the extended federal board of the Greens, a member of the state party board of the Greens in Vorarlberg and women's spokeswoman for the Vorarlberg Greens.

She was on the National Council from December 2002 to November 2008, among other things as deputy head of the Family Committee, as a member of the Equal Treatment and Education Committee and as a substitute member of the Labor and Social Committee. In the national elections in Austria in 2008 , Sabine Mandak no longer stood as a candidate and thus ended her political work after 20 years.
