Sabine Werth

Sabine Werth (born January 16, 1957 in Berlin ) is a German social worker and co-founder and honorary chairwoman of the Berliner Tafel eV , which distributes food donations to the needy.

Life

In 1987 Sabine Werth founded the first private family care company. In 1993 Sabine Werth and her initiative group Berliner Frauen e. V. the Berliner Tafel, based on the model of which other tables were created throughout Germany.

Awards

For her work she was awarded the Order of Merit of the State of Berlin and in 2003 the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon . In November 2019 she received the prize for life's work at the Take Off Award , the prize for German honorary office.
