Sabchota Apchaseti ( Georgian საბჭოთა აფხაზეთი - Soviet Abkhazia ) was a Georgian- language newspaper in Abkhazia that appeared from 1937 to the 1990s.

history

Sabchota Apchaseti appeared in the Abkhaz ASSR , which in turn was part of the Georgian SSR , since 1937 . In the 1970s, the circulation was around 25,800 copies. When the Soviet Union fell apart and there was civil war in Abkhazia, the newspaper was shut down.
