Aviation Infrastructure Sectoral Plan

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Sectoral Aviation Infrastructure Plan (SIL) ( French plan sectoriel de l'infrastructure aéronautique (PSIA) , Italian piano settoriale dell'infrastruttura aeronautica (PSIA) , Romansh Plan sectorial Infrastructura da l'aviatica (PSIA) ) is a planning and coordination instrument of the Confederation for Swiss civil aviation.

As a transport policy instrument, it contains spatially coordinated statements on aviation infrastructures and a conceptual part relating to aviation policy.

Within the federal authorities, the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) is responsible for spatial planning issues, and the Federal Office for Civil Aviation (FOCA) for aeronautical issues .

Also for Zurich Airport - and the negotiations with Germany (see also aircraft noise dispute ) - the SIL Zurich Airport, with its instruments, provides the transport policy basis.
