The Sacred Heart Cathedral ( German  Holy Heart Cathedral ), also Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral , in Freetown is the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Freetown and the most important church building of the Roman Catholic Church in Sierra Leone . Construction of the church began in 1884 and was completed with the consecration on October 27, 1887.
