description

The sadop has a straight or curved, double-edged, short blade. The blade is leaf-shaped and becomes narrower from the handle to the location . The blade often has a central ridge that runs from the handle to the location. The booklet is usually made of wood. It is round and split at the pommel or shaped like a ball and decorated with carvings à jour . The scabbards are made of wood and are often provided with metal straps that are used for stabilization. The sadop is used by ethnic groups from Borneo.
