The Sekin Type II is a machete from Sumatra .

description

The Sekin Type II has a straight, single-edged, wide blade. The blade widens from the handle to the location . The place just cut off. The blade has neither a central ridge nor a hollow grind. The handle is made of wood or horn . It is equipped with a metal clamp of different sizes, which is used to better secure the handle and blade. The pommel is slightly bent towards the cutting edge and notched at the flat end. The scabbards are made of wood, are rounded in the local area, worked flat overall and provided with rattan cords , which are used to attach the two halves of the scabbard. The vaginal mouth is widened. The Sekin Type II serves as a machete and is a version of the Sekin . However, it must not be confused with this, as they are technically differently classified. The Sekin is one of the knives, the Sekin Type 2 is one of the swords. The Sekin Type II is used by ethnic groups in Sumatra.
