The Sadeueb , also Bakong , Lading Boengkoewq , Lading Parambah , Parang Bakong , Sadep , Sadep-Sadep , Sadep Toenong , Sadeuep Koh Naleueng , Sadeueb Toenong or Sikin Sadeueb , is a sword from Sumatra .

description

The Sadeueb has a curved, broad, heavy, single-edged blade. The blade widens from the handle to the location and ends in a hook shape. The place is pointy. The blade has neither a central ridge nor a hollow grind . The place is bent at an angle of 90 degrees towards the blade. The back of the blade is straight. The cutting edge is curved from the handle. The handle is made of wood, is round and becomes thicker towards the pommel. Metal rings are attached to the booklet at regular intervals, which are used for decoration and stabilization. The pommel is widened and rounded at the end. The sadeueb is used as a tool and probably also as a weapon. The Indonesian names Sadeueb Koh Naleueng ( meaning "Sadeueb for cutting grass") and Sadeueb Koh Eumpeueng Kameng ("Sadeueb for cutting goat fodder") indicate its use as a tool. The Sadeueb is used by ethnic groups in Sumatra.
