Sadus is a thrash metal band from Antioch , California . The band became known at the beginning of the 1990s due to their technically demanding playing style. The name of the band goes back to the novel Dune .
history
The band was founded in 1984. After the release of three demos and the 1988 self-released album Illusions , Sadus received a recording contract with Roadrunner Records . The second album Swallowed in Black was released there . The debut album Illusions was reissued in 1991 under the title Chemical Exposure with a different cover. When Roadrunner Records signed more commercial bands, the band lost their contract in 1993. The members partly concentrated on other bands and Sadus was on hold for the time being. The band only continued to work with a new record deal in 1997. The band is currently under contract with Mascot Records .
Bassist Steve DiGiorgio began his musical career with Sadus . Today he is considered one of the best metal bassists in the world.
