Sainey Touray is a Gambian politician .

Before Sainey Touray began his political career, he worked as a teacher.

In the 2012 parliamentary elections , he ran as an independent candidate in the Jarra East constituency in the Mansakonko Administrative Region . With 46.18% he could not win the constituency for himself, his rival candidate Bafaye Saidykhan (APRC) entered the National Assembly for this constituency.

Prior to the 2016 presidential election, Touray was part of the leadership of the 2016 Coalition , an opposition coalition that helped Adama Barrow to win the election . In the 2017 parliamentary elections , he ran as a candidate for the United Democratic Party (UDP) in the same constituency. With 57.82% he was able to win the constituency before Juldeh Baldeh (GDC) for himself. For the 2017-2022 legislative period, Touray will serve as chair of the National Assembly's Committee on Environment, Sustainable Development and NGO Affairs.
