Saint Clara (also St. Clara) is a parish in Doddridge County , West Virginia . The place came into being in the mid-19th century when the Alsatian Joseph Diss DeBar sold land to German emigrants and was named after his late wife in 1856. There is a Lutheran St. John's Church and a Catholic Church. A crucifixion scene made of large bronze figures in the cemetery, which was imported from France in 1921, is worth seeing.
