Sayan Solar Observatory

The Sajan Solar Observatory (English Sayan Solar Observatory , Russian Саянская солнечная обсерватория ) is an astronomical facility for observing the sun. It is located around 10 km southeast of the village of Mondy in the Sayan Mountains at an altitude of 2000 meters on the Russian-Mongolian border of Buryatia . The largest telescope in the observatory has a diameter of 1.6 meters.
