Salala College of Technology

The Salalah College of Technology is a state college in Salalah in Oman . It is one of seven technical colleges in Oman and belongs to the tertiary education sector.

The college was originally founded in 1979 as a small vocational school with only 89 students. Fourteen years later it was restructured into a Technical Industrial College . In 2001 it was upgraded to a full-fledged college and has had its current name ever since. The college is from the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA) , the former Oman Accreditation Council (OAC) , accredited Service.

The admission requirement is the General Secondary School Certificate , which can be obtained after 12 years of attending school. Only two-year "sub-degree" courses with a diploma in engineering, business studies and information technology are offered. You can also attend a pre-study course. The language of instruction is English .

In the 2008/2009 academic year, a total of 2693 students (including 1362 female students) studied at the college.
