The Salle Wagram is a historic ballroom in the 17th arrondissement in Paris . The 800 m² hall offers space for 1,300 people.

history

The hall was opened in 1865 at location 39–41, Avenue de Wagram. The architect Adrien Fleuret designed a large ballroom with a two-story gallery. From 1900 onwards the hall was transformed into a multifaceted place, and now conferences, trade fairs and sporting competitions took place. From 1950 onwards, numerous recordings of classical music were made here. In 1981 the building was declared a monument historique .

Since a renovation in 2009, the hall has been used as a versatile location; concerts (rock, pop, jazz, classical), conferences, DJ parties, trade fairs and sporting events take place. A second, more unadorned hall was opened in the basement, seating 700 people.
