Salon international du livre de Québec

The Salon international du livre de Québec (SILQ) is an annual, French-language book fair in the Canadian city ​​of Québec .

The festival, first held in 1999, takes place at the beginning of April in the Québec Convention Center and lasts five days. The Festival de la bande dessinée francophone de Québec , the oldest and largest comic festival in North America for French-language publications, has been involved since 2005 . In 2012, 66,000 visitors were counted at the SILQ; 877 publishers and 961 authors were represented.

Several literary prizes are awarded at the SILQ , including:
