The Salto Fútbol Club (nickname: Naranjero ) was a football club from the city of the same name, Salto in northwestern Uruguay, in the Salto department .
The club was founded on November 19, 2002 with the aim of establishing a representative of the region in professional football in Uruguay. Salto FC played three seasons from 2003 to 2005 in Uruguay's second-highest division, the Segunda División . The club reached the places 7, 16, and 15. Salto FC did not rise from the league despite the 16th place in 2004, as three other clubs were excluded from the competition because of player strikes. Salto withdrew in 2005 after seven games from the Clausura of the league and the remaining games were rated 0-2 against the club.
